Welcome

The care guide for your textiles

THE COTTON

Cotton is a natural and robust fiber, widely used for centuries and still today by the textile industry, e.g. ex. for bed linen, bath towels or outerwear. Good quality cotton is really very strong and durable. Typical cotton materials are, for example, cotton flannel, corduroy, fine ribbed cotton, terry cloth and also the denim of our expensive jeans.

Interview :

1. We advise you to wash cotton at 30° with similar colors. The spin should be between 800 and 1000 revolutions to avoid excessive creasing.

2. When drying, avoid using a tumble dryer as much as possible, which could cause the piece to shrink. It is best to air dry it.

3. Using an iron is possible in cotton mode. For t-shirts with a printed design, prefer ironing on the reverse side.

LINEN

The natural linen fiber is pleasantly soft on the skin, durable, lint-free and relatively insensitive to dirt. The impressive structure and refined appearance are typical. Linen is used in different areas, for example for decorative and furnishing fabrics, bed linen and of course clothing. Given its low elasticity, linen shrinks quickly and wrinkles easily – proper care is all the more important!

Interview :

1. Wash your linen garment at low temperature (check the care label), use a mild detergent and do not overload your washing machine. linen ages wonderfully: it becomes soft and more absorbent with regular washing.
2. Shake your garment as soon as it comes out of the washing machine so that wrinkles do not settle into the material. Natural drying is better for linen (and for the planet). We therefore advise you to reshape it while it is still wet and then let it dry flat or hang it up. You can also tumble dry it on low until damp, then finish air drying.
3. If you follow the tips below, you should not need to iron your clothing. If it is too wrinkled for your liking, iron it at medium temperature on the right side and the reverse using plenty of steam. Place a damp cloth on stubborn creases before ironing.

WOOL

Wool is the oldest textile fiber in the world and is made from the fleece of sheep. Thanks to its good insulating properties, wool is really warm – it is perfect for sweaters, socks and blankets. Typical fabrics are tweed, flannel and felt. The wool is very supple, wonderfully fluffy and almost wrinkle-free. But if wool is not cared for properly, it can easily shrink and fray.

Interview :

1. Wool can be machine washed at a maximum of 30°C but only if your machine has a wool program (otherwise, wash your wool by hand). To then dry your wool garment, place it on a dry towel, so that it can dry flat and in the open air.

By hand, immerse your knitting in a basin of soapy water or better with a special wool detergent. By adding half a cap of conditioner, the wool will be even softer and supple. Rinse it gently with lukewarm water without twisting it.
2. Place the knitting on a towel, roll the towel and the knitting at the same time, pressing gently so that the water comes out of the knitting and is absorbed by the towel. Do not wring it or twist it. Then lay it flat on another towel and let it air dry.

3. The wool is ironed at maximum level 2 with a towel placed between the wool and the iron. Do not tumble dry wool.

THE SILK

Silk is the most sophisticated of all natural fibers and is extracted from the cocoon of the silkworm. Chiffon, bourette, organza, satin and taffeta are typical applications of silk. Most often, this luxury material is used in fashion, for example for blouses, scarves and chic details. In summer, silk is pleasantly refreshing and in winter it provides a feeling of warmth. In addition, this wrinkle-resistant material seduces with its refined shine and soft, fluid drape. However, silk is sensitive to sunlight, sweat, deodorant and friction.

Interview :

Silk is a luxurious material, very soft on the skin, which deserves every consideration – to take care of it, it is good to respect a certain number of things:

1. This material is quick washable at temperatures between 20°C and 30°C by hand or in the washing machine on the delicates program. You must choose a suitable detergent that washes gently. However, some silk models should only be dry cleaned – the washing instruction label then provides precise information.
To avoid water stains, the garment should always be washed completely. Stain removers should be avoided!

2.The silk item must not be wrung out and must under no circumstances be put in the dryer. Instead, it should be gently blotted in a towel and preferably dried flat, out of direct sunlight.

3. Ironing is possible upside down up to level 2 and without exerting pressure.

VISCOSE

Viscose comes from the chemical treatment of a natural cellulose fiber. It is smoother than cotton, very soft and supple in the drape. Viscose is often used for fabric blends with cotton, wool, linen or other fibers. It has a refined shine and particularly brilliant colors. In case of improper care, viscose fabrics shrink quickly, wrinkle and become deformed quickly.

Interview :

1. Viscose is washable at a maximum of 40°C with detergent for delicate textiles.

2. Do not tumble dry.

3. Viscose textiles are ironed on level 2.

POLYAMIDE

Polyamide is a synthetic fiber obtained from petroleum by a chemical technical process. There are two types of polyamide: perlon and nylon. Polyamide is frequently used for crepe yarns, stockings and tights, lingerie, linings and weather clothing. Polyamide is very robust and elastic, hardly creases and dries quickly. However, polyamide textiles become charged with static electricity and are very sensitive to heat.

Interview :

1. Polyamide textiles are washable at a maximum of 40°C with a detergent for delicate textiles and plenty of water.

2. Polyamide textiles should not be dried in the sun or in the dryer.

3. Ironing is permitted on level 1.

POLYESTER

Polyester is often blended with wool or cotton for clothing fabrics, weather protection and decorative clothing as well as technical fabrics such as sails and tarpaulins. Polyester is a synthetic fiber obtained largely from petroleum by a chemical technical process. Polyester fibers are particularly light and weather resistant and therefore resistant to climatic influences; They are also almost undeformable, tear-resistant and elastic. This material dries very quickly and hardly creases.

Interview :

1. Polyester fabrics are washable at a maximum of 40°C with a detergent for delicate fabrics and plenty of water.

2. Tumble drying is not recommended.

3. If it is really necessary, polyester textiles can be ironed on level 2. But be careful! High temperatures should be avoided as the material could melt.

SPASTHAN

2lastane and a synthetic fiber based on polyurethane, a special plastic material. 2latshanne is used in the making of comfortable trendy clothing because this material is particularly stretchy.

Typically, the fibers are used in blended textiles of underwear, hosiery, swimwear and stretch fabrics. It is almost wrinkle-free, lasts a very long time and resists deodorants and sweat well.

Interview :

1. Elastane fabrics are washable at maximum 40°C with special detergent and plenty of water.

2. Do not use a tumble dryer.

3. If it is really necessary, elastane textiles can be ironed on the level.
